On a freezing fall Wednesday evening in the Mile High City, the music of G-Eazy rapping at the majestic Red Rocks Amphitheater warmed the chilled crowd. The energy was amazing, and all the kids in attendance knew all of the words. The performance reminded me again of why I love live music.

At first, I was a little confused by the outfit he chose. I think it was a cross between Cruella DeVille and the Joker or something like that.

G-Eazy brought heat enough for everyone.

As freezing as it was out there on the mountainside, I’m pretty sure no one was cold. G-Eazy, an American rapper and ex-producer from Oakland touring on his 5th album –“These Things Happen Too”–brought heat enough for everyone. His fluid style and easy deliverance had the crowd grooving as one mass.

There were a lot in the audience with eyes closed, lip-synching the words. It looked as everyone know exactly what G-Eazy’s been through with each song. And that maybe they all also had some of their own story to help them relate.

The whole experience was a wonderful evening, spent at a matchless venue, having a wonderful time. You gotta love Colorado, even in the cold.
