Red Rocks came to life once again last Sunday, June 21, 2026, inviting EDM lovers from across Colorado to the sanctum of bass music. The one and only Wooli made his return for the 6th annual Mammoth Mountain, reigniting his spark amongst the rocky mountain ravers.
The artists Wooli invited to open for his show set the stage for the incredible night to come. He featured Teddy Pain, also known more famously as T-Pain, ProbCause, and Shank Aaron. Shank Aaron, who is also Wooli’s brother, succeeded in warming up the crowd and getting everyone ready for the night ahead. ProbCause carried the momentum with his set, rapping to his own beats and putting on a great performance for the crowd.
When it was Teddy Pain’s time to come out, everyone was in anticipation about how his set would go. This was his first ever solo dubstep set, and where better to premier his skills than Red Rocks. Let me just say that he fell nothing short of mind-blowing. Teddy Pain was someone who the EDM community didn’t know they needed, but now love. He would tell the crowd multiple times to bear with him because he wasn’t quite sure of what he was doing, but there was no evidence to suggest that he was struggling in the slightest. The crowd was thrumming with energy and dancing like no one was watching. It was such an amazing time to experience his artistic journey’s breakthrough, and he absolutely killed it.
Now came the time that everyone was waiting for: Wooli’s appearance. He opened with “Feeling Good”, delivered with his own twist of course. The lyrics foreshadowed the journey that the crowd was about to take: “It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life, and I’m feeling good.” With that the bass shook the amphitheater, blaring Griz and Wooli’s mashup. Wooli took no time breaking out his breath-taking lasers, sending screams throughout the crowd. Throughout his set, he played tracks old and new alike, even releasing several new songs for Colorado to experience for the first time. His production was insane, with captivating big screen visuals, unreal lasers, fire, and strobes pointed to the sky in an almost pyramid form.
Wooli brought out a surprise artist who is also beloved by the EDM community, none other than Big Gigantic. The song that they played together was funky and lively, and brought the energy of the crowd to life. Big Gigantic brought his saxophone with him and blessed the ears of everyone at Red Rocks. They brought out such a colorful display, with rainbow lasers and big-screen visuals. What a gift it was to get to experience this dream come true of Wooli’s.
Wooli is such a talented artist who not only knows how to make spectacular music, but also keep the energy of the crowd alive and put on a unique show each and every time. He never fails to amaze me at every show of his that I see, and he never gets old. Overall this show was such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see what he does in the future.
