2024 Musical Manifesto—Q4 Midnight to Noon
January 26, 2025We finish out the year with the sounds of 2024 artists who got crazy and had us moving and feeling as the cooler weather hit. Merely & Malibu joined forces to start us slowly with love hard. Aquamarine by Addison Rae then Gracie Abrams’s That’s So True let people know that we are all about pop music – and always will be.
Listen to the “Midnight to Noon” Playlist now!

JOY (If You Want) by Joy Anonymous joined by Champion asks to “tell me if you want it” and of course we do. Disclosure’s Arachnids hit the drums hard then Pleur who was new to me really fills the scene with Jusqu’a l’aube. Memphis LK combines with DJ BORING for Don’t Touch Me Baby, which is probably my club song of the year.
Jessie Ware is back in her impressive year – this time with salute on Heaven in Your Arms to fill our plate with great sounds.
Jessie Ware is back in her impressive year – this time with salute on Heaven in Your Arms to fill our plate with great sounds. I really love Danielle Ponder’s voice and this time she is with LP Giobbi on Is This Love. Chloe Caillet teams with SG Lewis on B Somebody, then Jamie xx gives us an amazing perspective with the vocals of Oona Doherty on Falling Together.
The first time I heard Sao Paulo by The Weeknd featuring Anitta it was during the amazing streamed concert from Brazil. Insane. Disclosure enlists Pa Salieu for King Steps, which hit me especially well during my end of year.
Lane 8 who is my next door neighbor – really!! – drops in for a killer track, The Deep, with Art School Girlfriend.

Finn Keane formerly known by Easy Fun and frequent Charli xcx collaborator hits with a solo track called Laplander (Finn Keane remix), which is his track remixed I guess. No matter, I love the craziness of it since he was such a huge part of this year.

Something I was fortunate enough to get on vinyl, Charli xcx’s impressive remix/rework output Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat delivered so much but my favorite was this one with Caroline Polachek: Everything is Romantic featuring Caroline Polachek.
The main section of the playlist finishes with Vegyn’s Mystery or Misery? though James Blake hits hard with the real question Like the End, which wonders what we have in store – maybe honest times by MRD?
Who Said by MØ remixed by Sassy 009 is a Scandinavian collaboration we need in the winter, just as Winnipeg’s Ass Clap shines with Meet in the Middle. George Daniel delivers Chlorine as he takes his bow in such a crazy year.

TDJ pops off with SPIN INFINI:GENESIS – another multimedia landmark – and they share neoprada and vanda on BREATHE-MIXED and sunset+memories-Mixed by Sage while bookending Cryin by J Brat and FINNfm.
One more check in with Skrillex has him working with Champion, Four Tet, and Naisha on Talk to Me. George Daniel comes back for an encore while remixing Kelly Lee Owens on Higher (George Daniel Remix). Mall Grab shows out with Found Ourselves as we get momentum to finish the year strong.
Oklou’s harvest sky gets the Danny L Harle C Mix, and I for one can’t wait for her new album in 2025 choke enough. Kelly Lee Owens gets us close with Trust and Desire.

And we end the Four Quarters of Yoga Playlists with – WHO ELSE!?!? – Charlie xcx joined by A.G. Cook on So featuring A.G. Cook – from the most entertaining music rollout I’ve seen.
Thanks for sharing these great sounds and let’s support the artists that bring us joy in 2025.
