The Romance of DeVotchKa Beauty @ Botanic Gardens
June 15, 2022DeVotchKa is no stranger to beauty, and neither are their fans. But pairing the lilting romance the Denver native band with the natural surroundings of Denver’s Botanic Gardens proved to be even more beautiful than we could’ve imagined.
With the well-intoned music that vocalist Nick Urata, violinist Tom Hagerman, bass-and-sousaphonist Jeanie Schroder, and percussionist Shawn King have become known for worldwide floating above the eden-like beauty of one of Denver’s most beloved landmarks, the space gained an even more hauntingly beautiful stature. Couples sprawled out on lawn chairs, folding seats, or just on the grass en plein air, occasionally getting misty-eyed at the lovelorne crooning Urata has made famous.
