Coming in from Oklahoma City, Labrys – lead by Penny Pitchlynn from the band Broncho – hit the Skylark Lounge for one night only last week. Pitchlynn and the band performed sweet – often called vulnerable – lyrics to a very receptive crowd.

They serenaded all of us with songs like “Deeper” (one of my fave’s), the gravel-sounding “Wicked One,” “Don’t tell me what to do” (another fave), “I Found God,” and “Satisfaction.” Penny and her band harmonized perfectly together, showing off their alternative rock skills on a pleasant evening in Denver.

I discovered Labry’s checking show called “Reservation Dogs” on Hulu – I highly recommend you see for yourself! Labrys added their songs “Deeper” and “So Sad” – you’ll know right away Picthlynn and company hit all the right notes to capture your attention and leave you wanting more!

And next thing you know you’ll be googling them right away to see who they are. If you wanna check them out on go to my Tik Tok page (gfederico17) and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

In the meantime, check out the new album 10:10, embedded here. I think you’ll appreciate the lyrics and their simple vulnerability, and the musical genius of Labrys.
