Band of Horses Tour at Mission Ballroom Sees a Fitting Start to
November 5, 2021After 16 years, Ben Bridwell and his Band of Horses have earned the right to tell their promoter where they want to start touring – especially after a few years of uncertainty the likes of which we’ve all never really seen. So, you had to have loved when Bridwell came out onstage at the magnificent – and still new – Mission Ballroom, proclaiming that he and the band band had asked their tour manager just that.
Band of Horses have earned the right to decide where they want to start touring

With crowds like these here in the Mile High City, who wouldn’t? After an amazing autumn that looks like it doesn’t want to go away any time soon, and the opportunity to play at a cool new venue, with state-of-the-art sound and video ops, they know a good thing when they see it.
The crowd on November 4, a Thursday night group hungry for one of the Carolinas’ best band (by way of the Pacific Northwest), was more than happy to welcome the Sub Pop veterans, too.
Bridwell, guitarist Ian MacDougall, guitarist and keyboard player Ryan Monroe, bassist Matt Gentling and drummer Creighton Barrett performed hit’s like “Casual Party,” “Is there a Ghost,” and more, before bowling the place over with an encore featuring their biggest hit “The Funeral,” much to everyone’s delight.
